What are the issues about converting from character mode?
The main issue about character mode forms is that they were not conceived to be operated with a mouse. The functionality revolves around key triggers, and of course moving to a windows environment you want to use the mouse to improve usability and to make it fit in with other modern applications.
Unless you have a migration that includes functionality to get the best out of the mouse, you will not get the best out of operating in the Windows environment whether you are using a browser or client/server mode to operate the Forms.
